We welcome students, visitors, fellows, collaborators, and industry partners who are interested in addressing challenging and high impact research problems in AI. Our work spans computer vision, multimodal learning, efficient AI, medical imaging, digital health, and trustworthy intelligent systems, but is not limited to these areas. New interdisciplinary ideas are always welcome.

Research Students

We welcome motivated students who want to develop strong AI research skills and work on problems with real-world relevance. Possible topics include computer vision, data-efficient learning, multimodal AI, medical imaging, digital health, and trustworthy AI.

If you are curious about a project idea, please get in touch. A CV and a short note about your interests are enough to begin the conversation. Formal research degree applications are made through the University of Plymouth Doctoral College .

Research Visits and Fellowships

We are open to hosting visiting researchers, fellowship applicants, and short research visits where there is a natural connection with the lab's work. This may include postdoctoral fellowship plans, seminar visits, collaborative writing, or exploratory research that could grow into a larger project.

Early informal conversations are welcome, especially if you are shaping a fellowship application or looking for a supportive host environment for research on AI and related topics.

Research Collaboration and Partnerships

We welcome conversations with academic researchers, independent researchers, and industry partners interested in applied AI with real-world value. Collaborations may involve joint publications, grant proposals, datasets, prototypes, student projects, evaluation studies, or knowledge exchange.

If you have a challenge, dataset, domain question, or early idea where AI could help, please get in touch. Initial conversations can be exploratory and do not need a fully formed project plan.
